An unaccompanied Minor / Special Needs form for a special needs passenger or minor younger than 16-years-old is required to be on file at the CWA, Inc. (DBA – Travel Washington / Gold Line) main office in Ferndale, WA, in order to travel on an Travel Washington / Gold Line.
To assist in the safety of minor/special needs passenger(s) traveling alone, it is recommended that they be seated in the front of the vehicle and avoid conversation with anyone other than the driver. Travel Washington / Gold Line does not assume responsibility for the unaccompanied passenger once the passenger exits the vehicle, whether this is at an intermediary stop or the final destination. Also, Travel Washington / Gold Line is specifically not assuming the role of a guardian of the minor or special needs passenger.
Note: Children between the ages of 12 to 15-years-old may travel on Travel Washington / Gold Line without a parent or guardian. Children less than 12-years-old are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
