IS A RESERVATION NECESSARY?
Some shuttle stops are by reservation only, and others require advance reservations. Either way, it is a good idea to make a reservation to guarantee your seat on the bus at the time you want to ride. Reservations can be made by calling (888) 739-5395 or by clicking here.
Reservations may also be made in person at one of these ticketing locations:
- Spokane Intermodal – 221 First Ave. (Purchase Gold Line tickets at the Amtrak or Greyhound counters)
- Colville Rural Resources Community Action – 956 S. Main St.
- Kettle Falls Chamber of Commerce, 425 W. 3rd Ave.
Please note – for boarding locations requiring advance reservations, the bus will not stop there if there is not an advance reservation scheduled at the time you hope to board.
WHAT IF I PREPAY FOR A RESERVATION, BUT END UP NOT NEEDING TO USE IT? DO I LOSE MY MONEY?
No. There is no charge to change the reservation to an “open” ticket to use at another time within a year from the original date of purchase. Or, you may cancel the reservation with a $5 processing fee.
IF I CANCEL MY RESERVATION AND REQUEST A REFUND, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BE CREDITED BACK TO MY CARD? AND, IF I PAID CASH?
Credit card refunds may take up to 10 days from when you canceled before showing in your account. If you paid by cash/check, please provide a current mailing address when canceling and a refund check will be mailed within 10 days.
I WANT TO PAY CASH AT THE BOARDING LOCATION. IS THIS POSSIBLE?
Yes, at a stop that does not require an advance, paid reservation you can pay cash curb side if a seat is available on the trip you wish to travel on. EXACT CHANGE IS REQUIRED. Bills $50 and smaller are accepted.
MY SPOUSE IS IN A WHEELCHAIR. WILL OUR BUS BE ADA ACCESSIBLE?
All Gold Line vehicles are ADA equipped. If you have any questions about your ADA accommodations (i.e. chair/scooter size, weight) please contact Gold Line staff at (888) 739-5395 during office hours.
WHAT ARE THE ADA GUIDELINES REGARDING “PRIORITY SEATING” ON THE VEHICLE?
Upon request, drivers will ask – but not require – passengers to yield priority seating at the front of the bus to seniors and persons with disabilities. Drivers are not required to enforce priority seating beyond making the request of other passengers

Traveling With Animals
CAN I BRING MY PET WITH ME?
Currently, service animals are the only animals authorized to be transported on Gold Line.
WHAT IS THE LUGGAGE POLICY?
Each passenger is allowed 1 standard sized piece of luggage (as defined as under 50 lbs and 70 linear inches or less.) Additional bags are $15 each and limited to 50 lbs each. You are fully responsible for the correct identification and retrieval of your luggage.
IF MY LUGGAGE IS DAMAGED, HOW WILL I BE COMPENSATED?
As provided by Washington state law (RCW 81.29.050), unless higher value is declared prior to departure to transportation and agreed to in writing by CWA, Inc. (DBA Gold Line), property damage liability will be $25.00 for boxes and parcels, $100.00 for trunks, and $50.00 for suitcases, valises, and other items. Additional valuation will be charged at $1.00 per $100.00 or a fraction thereof.
IF I AM TRAVELING WITH MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, DOES IT COUNT TOWARD MY LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE?
All medical equipment (i.e. CPAP and AED machines) are no charge if the equipment is standard size. Any medical equipment exceeding 50 lbs or larger than a standard size suitcase may be charged an overweight or oversize $5 fee.
Portable oxygen and respirators may travel with you at no charge. You may carry up to 2 oxygen canisters – 1 on the bus and 1 in the luggage compartment. Canisters stored in the luggage compartment require a safety cap on the valve and a protective case. The maximum size for the canister is 4.5 inches in diameter and 26 inches in length.
Traveling with Minors
I’M TRAVELING WITH A SMALL CHILD. IS A CAR SEAT REQUIRED?
Car seats are highly recommended for all children under 8-years-old. All Gold Line vehicles equipped with seat belts require passengers by law to be buckled up. Even on vehicles without seat belts, it is safer for a child to be buckled into a car seat than not at all.
MY CHILD IS TRAVELING ALONE. IS THAT ALLOWED?
Minors that are 16-years-old or older are allowed to travel unaccompanied.
Those between 12- and 15-years-old may travel unaccompanied as long as a completed Minor Release Form is signed and on file at the Gold Line main office. To ensure a minor release form is on file, it needs to be submitted, authorized, and on file before a prepaid reservation can be made.
Minors younger than 12-years-old may only travel with a parent/guardian. A guardian must be a minimum of 18-years-old or older.
CAN GOLD LINE REFUSE TRANSPORTATION TO A PASSENGER?
The company reserves the right to refuse transportation to persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol, who may be infectious and spreading communicable diseases, who are incapable of taking care of themselves, or whose conduct or behavior may be objectionable and not in the best interest of other passengers or Gold Line drivers.
The company also reserves the right to inspect and refuse to carry any luggage/materials that the carrier or driver considers unsafe and not in the best interests of the other passengers.
No alcohol, drugs, firearms or tobacco are allowed on the vehicle.
